MONUMENT/TENANT SIGNS
Monument-Tenant signs are installed at entrances to the business. A monument sign is either on the ground or on a platform / base. It can be either illuminated or non-illuminated. They are fabricated from many different materials such as stone, concrete, foam, stucco, and welded aluminum. They can be elaborate or simple. These signs can be painted, routed, or have vinyl graphics applied or just plan architectural lettering attached.
CABINETS / ALUMINUM SIGNS
A cabinet has a different look than a channel letter does. You would use a cabinet in cases where there is a tight budget or the lettering is to tiny to do anything else. The background would be either translucent vinyl (lighted) or opaque (non-lighted) They come in many shapes but the most common one would be a rectangle. They have florescent lamps and acrylic or lexan (polycarbonate) faces. The one advantage other than cost is that you will be able to put detailed graphics on the face, which is sometimes difficult with channel letters. Aluminum signs are durable , affordable, and yet a practical alternative for an interior or exterior sign. The most common thickness of sheet metal material is .040. Great material for large signs at an economical price. They can be painted or powder coated any color.
