Neon and Vinyl Graphics

WHAT KIND OF SIGN DOES YOUR COMPANY NEED?

CHANNEL LETTERS
A Channel Letter is a single three-dimensional letter that is illuminated or non-illuminated. It's either flush mounted to the wall or in most cases it's on a raceway to lower the cost of installation. Depending on what your landlord will allow. The letter's sides (returns) form a 5" deep channel to house the neon, led, or florescent lamps. There are different types of letters--standard, reverse, and open "exposed."

CUSTOM NEON
Neon is an illuminated sign that is started with a design and a pattern. You then take a 4' clear tube and from there it is bent into words, shapes, designs, and border tubes. After that process you purify the tube to 500 degrees to prep for the colored gases. From there you get all the different neon colors. It is then mounted on a piece of black plexiglas without the use of faces, returns, or backs that are common in channel letters. Open "Exposed Neon" is nothing like a channel letter.

MONUMENT/TENANT SIGNS
Monument-Tenant signs are installed at entrances to the business. A monument sign is either on the ground or on a platform / base. It can be either illuminated or non-illuminated. They are fabricated from many different materials such as stone, concrete, foam, stucco, and welded aluminum. They can be elaborate or simple. These signs can be painted, routed, or have vinyl graphics applied or just plan architectural lettering attached.

CABINETS / ALUMINUM SIGNS
A cabinet has a different look than a channel letter does. You would use a cabinet in cases where there is a tight budget or the lettering is to tiny to do anything else. The background would be either translucent vinyl (lighted) or opaque (non-lighted) They come in many shapes but the most common one would be a rectangle. They have florescent lamps and acrylic or lexan (polycarbonate) faces. The one advantage other than cost is that you will be able to put detailed graphics on the face, which is sometimes difficult with channel letters.  Aluminum signs are durable , affordable, and yet a practical alternative for an interior or exterior sign. The most common thickness of sheet metal material is .040. Great material for large signs at an economical price. They can be painted or powder coated any color.

PYLON/POLE SIGNS
A pole (pylon) sign is installed at the entrance of a business. A pole (pylon) sign, depending on the sign codes, can be designed with either a low (LP) or high profile (HP). Vacuum formed, Vinyl Graphics, Neon or both can enhance the sign itself.

FRAMES/DIRECTIONAL SIGNS or WAYFINDINGS/INTERIOR SIGNS
Directional signs are used to inform customers which way to go as well as informing them of special promotions. Frames are used to add a decorative logo where nothing else would work. These signs are an affordable way to get your message across to the customers.  Wayfinding signs are to help people find their way around in a building. They are also used for directions as well as which room number is the correct one.

VINYL GRAPHICS / BANNERS
Banners & Graphics are great for a temporary sign solution such as "Now Open, Trade Shows, or a Special Promotion". They should not be used as a permanent sign. The most popular banner material is 14oz. which is great for inside or out. We use 3M High Performance Vinyl that has a 5-7 year life span.
